Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Delhi Region was established in the year 1977. This regional Office started in Faridabad for very short period, then in 1980 it was shifted to KV Sector -2, R. K. Puram. At that time this region comprises only 33 schools.

Thereafter in Oct 1984, this office was shifted to KV Janakpuri and continued to Nov. 1992. Again on 4th Nov 1992 is office is shifted to present building, which is Behind KV JNU Campus. Now there has been manifold increase in numbers of KVs under Delhi Region which stands at 68 KVs including second shift.
